Railroad Bridge

Fort Halifax in Winslow, Maine

I really enjoy photographing railroads and I love getting the different perspectives.  I'm always surprised when I finally see what I have captured when I see it on the computer screen.  And this time I was floored!  I totally love this shot!

Here is a little about Fort Halifax............Built in 1756, Fort Halifax's purpose was to provide safe shelter for wagon trains passing from Fort Hunter to Fort Augusta.  During this time period, settlers in the area were running into many deadly conflicts with Indians, Fort Halifax was constructed to remedy this.
